About the Kids Helping Kids Intiative
To directly address the impact of HIV and AIDS on children, M·A·C Cosmetics created the Kids Helping Kids (KHK) campaign in 1994. Each year beautifully illustrated holiday cards, gift tags and gift bags are created from artwork and illustrations donated by children ages 3 to 15, who are affected with HIV and AIDS and who benefit from community programs supported by the M·A·C AIDS Fund. The items are sold at M·A·C counters worldwide during November and December.
Eligibility
In order to apply, a non-profit must be recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 organization, have been in existence for at least three years, and have a solid track record of providing pediatric HIV/AIDS services. Applicants must have a track record of service provision in the region/country in which they plan to work and an annual operating budget of at least $1.5 million.
Grant Purpose
The M∙A∙C AIDS Fund is accepting funding applications programs impacting people 21 years of age and younger. We are particularly interested in reviewing programs that directly address the link between poverty and HIV/AIDS. HIV/AIDS prevention programs are beyond the scope of this particular RFP (please review the Global Youth HIV-Prevention Initiative RFP for prevention programs).
How to Apply

An application must contain one original and one copy of the following materials:
Program outline of no more than four (4) pages (see below)

IRS determination letter
5.
Copy of the current organizational annual report, operating budget for the current fiscal year and most recent audited financial statement
6.
Budget indicating how grant funds would be utilized
7.
An indication of the ways in which your organization might partner with M·A·C Cosmetics and the M·A·C AIDS Fund to help support and promote the Kids Helping Kids program
Proposals must be received by the M∙A∙C AIDS Fund by June 15, 2008. Proposals with a postmark date of June 15, 2008 will not be accepted (they will be considered late).
